The success of every organization depends to a large extent on its human capital. The CAUC therefore places an optimal importance on the welfare of its employees and ensure that, their talents and potentials are harnessed for the benefit of the University College and their individual objectives.
The Office of HR and General Administration has been created to undertake this mandate and also ensure the smooth running of the daily operations of the University College.
The objective of the office is to assist the University College recruit, manage, develop, organize, motivate employees and also provide administrative support for the smooth running of the University College on daily basis.
The office identifies recruitment needs of the CAUC and initiates the recruitment process.
It also prepares appointment letters for new recruits and organize orientation for them.
It facilitates and administer training and development programmes for staff, handle staff complaints and grievances.
It also writes reports and minutes of high-profile meetings and assist in the planning and organization of official programmes (orientation, matriculation, graduation etc.).
It administers performance appraisal and ensures timely staff compensation and motivation.
It also ensures that staff welfare, health and safety needs are well attended to.
